Web Hosting & Emails
I use the web hosting service provided by Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen. For the purpose of operating this website, I receive the following services from the host: infrastructure services (data center, connectivity), computing and storage capacity (web hosting or servers), as well as security and maintenance services (e.g., backups). In this context, I or my hosting provider may process contact and meta-data, content data, and protocol data. The web hosting services I use also include the sending, receiving, and storage of emails. For these purposes, the addresses of the recipients and senders as well as other information regarding the sending of emails (e.g., involved providers) and the content of the respective emails are processed. The basis for this processing is a legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR to ensure the secure operation of the website or server. A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR has been concluded with the hosting provider for this purpose.

Server Log Files
I or my hosting provider collect access data, so-called server log files, with each access to my website or its contents. These access data include:

- Notification of successful or unsuccessful access

- Referrer URL
- IP address
- Name of the requesting provider
The basis for this collection is legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The collection of this data is done for security purposes and to investigate cyber-attacks or other illegal activities. This data is stored for a maximum of 14 days and then deleted, unless further retention is required for evidentiary purposes. In such cases, the data will be deleted after the incident has been finally clarified.
Contact via mail
You can contact me via email. The personal data you provide will be stored for the purpose of contacting you. Providing your data is voluntary pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. If you use email to contact me, you must provide a valid email address. Further information is optional. The provided data will be deleted if it is no longer required.
Please note that internet-based data transmission can have security gaps and complete protection cannot be guaranteed.
Your Rights as a Data Subject
According to the GDPR, every data subject has the right to confirmation (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), and data portability (Art. 20). Additionally, the right to withdraw consent (Art. 7 para. 3) and the right to object (Art. 21). Furthermore, the data subject has the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority pursuant to Art. 77 GDPR.
Deletion
The personal data I process will be deleted pursuant to Art. 16 GDPR as soon as its retention is no longer necessary for fulfilling the purpose and no legal reasons prevent deletion. If the data cannot be deleted for legal reasons, its use will be restricted pursuant to Art. 18 GDPR.
